Tasting Notes

COLOR: Golden amber to light copper

NOSE: The nose offers sweet aromas with subtle floral and spice overtones, with sage honey, blackberry preserves, apple oatmeal crisp with vanilla bean ice cream, gingerbread, butterscotch pudding, almond butter, Italian anise cookies with lemon-sugar glaze, and cinnamon bun with white icing.

PALATE: Palate entry presents much softer than what the high proof suggests, with all the same sweet, savory, and spicy notes on the nose following through to the palate. Further flavors of cinnamon raisin bagels with cream cheese icing, brown butter with sage over pumpkin ravioli, sticky toffee pudding, and kumquat-orange marmalade over buttery croissants coat the palate.

FINISH: Warming and well-balanced, with good length and enduring sweetness.
